New and exciting adventures to come!

Posted by Becky M. at 9:35 AM
Hello all! This entry won't be reviewing or discussing any product/health idea but will just be a quick update on whats been going on!

Summer so far, has been quite interesting for me this year. I've been running, working, and relaxing with family and friends for most of it. This past June I traveled off island to go to Kona to run in the Kona marathon! It was such a delightful treat (even if it was only for the weekend)! I got to stay at a somewhat pricey but AMAZING condo, sightsee a few places accompanied by my boyfriend, and of course, run 26.2miles the day before leaving ^_^ Although Kona was a very low-key area with hardly any nightlife, hot days, and tons of dried lava fields for miles, I was sad to leave because of all the things I didn't get to see. My next adventure is planned for October where I will be flying to San Francisco to run in the Nike Women's Marathon! I think this will be the highlight of my year; even though I signed up to run the half marathon :( having the opportunity to be in the San Francisco city is all worth it (again just for the weekend). And your probably wondering how I've managed to finance all these races and fly to these various destinations? Heh, well lets just say I'm dipping into my account for the time being -_-; I will most definitly try to save up from now till October and accrue hours at my minimum wage job just so that I am prepared to take the big hit for my bank account. >_<
Why am I investing in races? Well, besides my love for running, I believe races test my limits, strengthen my mental focus, and give me courage to try new and adventurous activities. Running marathons costs money, and I am willing to do as many as I can (in the U.S and internationally) before age starts creeping up on me. I'm a little island girl who hasn't had much opportunity to travel many places. I'm in my 20's. I'm in that decade of my life where now's the time to go places, have these amazing experiences, and build myself up into the person I want to become; all before I feel the need to "settle down" lol. My running ohana has even shined light on expanding into triathalons! Now, I'm no triathlete, but after partaking in a mock triathalon a week ago, I am inspired to work on my swimming, and buy a bike of my own to ride for fun :) I never thought my excersises would expand out to swimming and biking, but I'm willing to give it a try!

Thanks for reading! Get out there and do something active today. A body in motion, stays in motion.
