Lemon Water

Lemon peel contains pectin, a soluble fiber that has been shown to help with weight loss. Add an ounce of lemon juice and some zest to each of your eight daily glasses of water (which will help you feel fuller).
Red Grapefruit

Muscle Recovery
Starting to excercise again after a long hiatus can be both invigorating and painful. Your working muscles and re-awaking ones that haven't been stretched in a long time. So how do you help your sore muscles recover after a long hard workout? Muscles need adequate rest and protein in order to feel normal again. Eating protein at least 30mins after you excercise will aid in helping muslce fibers re-build itself, as well as give you a little energy boost! I recommend eating any lean meat (chicken, fish, turkey, etc). So before you go driving over to the nearest Jamba Juice to get a post-workout smoothie, make sure you eat something that isn't so full of sugar. ICE. No, no, not the drug, the kind you freeze out of water. This will speed up your recovery time for any painful muscle discomfort or ailment. Just grab a frozen pack and place it on the effected area for 15-20mins. Or if you still want to get a cardio workout in, but you feel too sore to do anything on land, resistance training can help! Jump in a nice cool pool or ocean, swim or aqua jog! The cool water will help your body recover and its great for those with sprains or fractures that need to stay off their feet as well. ^_^
