Happy New Year 2010

Ahh, another year has come and gone, and now we all get a new start, another chance, a new beginning, a new year. I hope 2009 gave all of you new ideas, gifts, memories, and opportunities. I didn't make a list of resolutions for this year because to me I feel that if I can't keep them I let myself down, and it becomes a total waste. So what I do is just make a mental note of things that I want to get done, things I want to do and still haven't done yet, try something new, meet new people (i always hope for this every year), and hope for prosperity and see my relationships grow with the ones I love. ^_^
So far I've been channeling my 'adventuresome' side and have been engaging in active adventures with my new adventure buddy Charlene! Last week we kayaked out to the mokes (mokuleias- tiny islands off the shore of kailua) hiked around the entire island (very risky, but awesome stuff), played some vollyball, chilled out on the sand, and got some long over-due tanning taken care of. I've been dying to kayak to the mokes ever since I graduated high school and unfortunatey its taken me this long to do it! I had a blast that day. Today me and Marlon hiked up Koko Head all the way to the top, and got a great view of the east side of the island. This hike was a challenge if your not that in-shape. Marlon is scared of heights, so it filled me with such happiness to see him overcome it so well and make it all the way to the top. It was a great way to spend the first day of the new year :) Next up I am hiking up Stairway to Heaven! I'm so stoked to be doing all of this cool stuff lately. I need this kind of adventure and motivation in my life and luckily I found it in a new friend. I'll try out my surfing skills, get my long runs back on track, maybe go camping, and possibly get a new job. 2010 looks like its going to be a cool year of adventures and excitment. Yay! From my family to yours, happy holidays*

Dude, that picture is SICK. Did you take that?
They say that what you do on the first day of the new year, you'll be doing that all year long. Hope you enjoyed yourself, and hopefully your whole year will be enjoyable!
Happy 2010 RENTEN! :o)
