Online shopping & some favorite sites of mine :)

So the christmas season is upon us! Lots of holiday shopping is being done and I'd say I'm about 40% finished with mine. I still need to get my bf, his family, my family, and some little side stuffers just in-case I miss anyone ;)

Ugh, so whats been irking me about the online shopping lately is how gay the shipping rates have been on some sites that I've been browsing. Take for example Beautycrunch.com. Great site for discounted beauty products from top brands like Stila, Two-Face, Pixi, etc But, since I live in Hawaii, the shipping charges are bound to be more than the continental U.S, I just didn't know that this site would add a surcharge of $25 to it! $25 just for ground shipping! Absurd! If you live in places like Hawaii or Alaska, its definetly NOT worth it to buy from this online company; you end up paying the REGULAR PRICE if you buy it online. Its not a deal if you think about it. :-( Bummer

Tips for online shopping

*Check the shipping info first before adding items to your basket/shopping cart. It eliminates getting your hopes up finding out that shipping costs too much, or they don't ship to your country/state.

*Site security. VERY IMPORTANT. You want to check if the site you are purchasing from is secure and legit before giving your credit card information online. There are a lot of hackers and scammers out there so be careful to note if there is a little Site Security Lock tag visible on the page and if the little 'lock' icon comes up on the corner of your page.

*Browse clearance items before the regular priced items. You never know what good products just got reduced!

*If you have a coupon code, use it.

I first glanced at this magazine at Barnes and Noble bookstore and I just couldn't put it down! This publication and website have some of the best ideas for salvaging your odds n ends. Many great ideas and tips , recipes, fashion, entertaining,etc. I recommend you take a glance at this when you have the time.
