30K and more beauty products!

This past Sunday I had my long awaited anticipated 18miler race as part of my marathon readiness series. Luckily...I survived! It comes as a big suprise that I enjoyed myself the entire time too. The 15miler that I ran in kailua back in september was excruciating! So for this race I didn't want to feel so shitty like that again. A big helper that boosted my energy the entire way was my iPod touch! I really don't listening to music while I run (it seems to slow me down), but i decided for long runs like these, it's really a BIG help for fighting boredom. I equiped myself with my touch, my visor, a couple of endurance gels, my sunglasses (for when the bright morning sunshine comes up), and my handy-dandy water bottle. The only mistake I made was my choice in shoes. I chose to wear my Nike Pegasus' +25. HUGE mistake because they were a 1/2 size too small, and I knew it. I just wanted to run in them to see how they would feel, and they honestly felt really great and I'm highly considering wearing them in the marathon, but that 1/2 size makes a huge difference. About around the 9th mile or so I could feel the pain beginning to effect my foot, and by the 12th/10th miles of the race I thought my toenail was going to break off. I was scared to take my shoes off afterwards because the thought of blood gushing everywhere was not to0 exciting. But there was no blood, my toenails are still intact, I only got a water blister on my left big toe, but I actually think that that toenail might come off pretty soon. My body is still sore; it hurts to walk, thankfully my personal masseuse (aka- mar) helped get the tightness out of my muscles and they are slowly repairing themselves. Unfortunately, i have my last and final race (13miles) coming up next week saturday *starts to cry* I have no idea how my foot is going to feel, considering its current condition. I think I'll do pretty good in this half because I've race longer distances and maybe i'll push myself a little harder for this one.

I am in LOVE with my new NYX shadow palettes! I swear I spent a good 1hr 1/2 in that store just drooling over the huge variety of NYX cosmetics that they now carry. I'll review all of these in a later post but for now, pictures! :D
